Olympic Distance: 1.5k swim, 40k bike & 10k run
Sprint Distance: 1/2mi swim, 15mi bike & 3mi run
The Metro Triathlon follows one of the most historic triathlon race courses in America. It begins with the swim in the calm and temperate waters of Lake Almaden Park. The bike takes you through Almaden Valley into Morgan Hill and back. You will be subject to rolling hills, vistas of the Calero Reservoir, and rural farmland demonstrating San Jose ’s truly dynamic geography. The bike course follows a majority of the local Wednesday night ride and some of the Specialized Morgan Hill Ride, two of the more famous local training rides. The run is stress free on bike paths in and around the park. It is flat and fast with multiple well stocked water stations.
